Ein Wanderer entdeckte auf einer seiner Touren im ländlichen Gebiet der Provinz Ciudad Real zwei Plastikbehälter und [1] ETA Terroristenalarmierte die Polizei.

Chemischen Untersuchungen zufolge handelte es sich bei dem Inhalt der Behälter um Sprengstoff. Die von der spanischen Polizei beschlagnahmten Plastikbehälter waren fertig mit Zündern ausgestattete Bomben, wie die ETA sie für ihre Attentate benutzt.

Die ETA, (Euskadi Ta Askatasuna) was auf baskisch soviel bedeutet wie Baskenland und dessen Freiheit, hat es sich zum Ziel gemacht einen sozialistisch geprägten baskischen Staat, Euskal Herria, zu erkämpfen.

Der Gewalt der ETA sind seit Ende der 60er Jahre mehr als 800 Menschen vor allem im Norden Spaniens und im Südwesten Frankreichs zum Opfer gefallen.

Die Zuordnung der Bomben zur ETA ist jedoch noch nicht hundertprozentig möglich. Obwohl die Bomben das ETA Logo trugen, schließt die Polizei mögliche Nachahmer nicht aus.
